The Humanitarian Access and Security Coordinator (HASC) will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of humanitarian aid in Ukraine. This position involves developing and implementing security protocols, assessing access risks, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to enable the organization's operations in challenging environments.

 As soon as possible or by arrangement, we are looking for a proactive and experienced:
Humanitarian Access and Security Coordinator (HASC), 100%
Your main responsibilities:
  • Support CD, SMT, Country Coordination, Field Operations Managers, and all Security staff on all related to Safety and Security matters
  • Responsible for the continued review and updates of all security documents, related procedures and their implementation
  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments for each area of operation is operating in allowing reviewing and developing access strategies aligned to the local context
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities, local communities, and partners to improve relations, understanding and recognition of operational objectives as well as reviewing best practice for humanitarian activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, UN bodies, and local NGOs
  • Monitor and analyse the security situation in Ukraine, providing regular updates and recommendations to the management team
  • Facilitate and promote various health, Safety and security training for staff, ensuring a high level of preparedness and adherence to security protocols
  • Advise on the design and implementation of programs with a focus on minimizing security risks by mitigate and ensuring compliance with humanitarian principles
  • Participate in security coordination forums and represent the organization in relevant meetings with external partners
  • Manage incident reporting and response mechanism, including crisis management
  • Support Program teams in charge of designing new proposal
  • Management of the Safety and Security Budget
To be successful you bring:
  • Experience in security management
  • Academic training in Law, Political science, Statistics or other similar domain 
  • 5 years experience as coordinator in a security related field (security, logistics, country coordinator) in a Human Aid organisation
  • Experience in the coordination of personnel, monitoring and Program evaluation
  • Operational Security Management
  • Skills: Ability to plan, organise and resolve, date, mapping, GIS know-how, good communications skills and intercultural awareness
  • English is essential, Ukrainian preferred, other languages like Russian a plus
